What is an API call?

So, a single API "call" means the delivery of the requested information from CourtAPI to the Customer. Some examples using GET or POST from our API docs (doesn't matter which one it is):
1) if you request a docket update or other HTML, the retrieved information, whether 1 or 50 pages is a single call.
2) if you request a party search, the retrieved information, whether 1 or 50 entries is a single call.
3) if you request a PDF, Each PDF is a call (regardless of pages).
4) if you subscribe to webhooks, each webhook delivered is a call.

Do all plans provide access to the same data?

No, higher volume plans provide access to greater data sets. If you have a specific need, please inquire which plans may be best for you.

What if I end up needing more that what I bought with my plan?

No problem, you just pay per call for whatever you use per the "overage" price for your plan or you can switch to the next plan if that makes more sense for you.
